The Nanango and District Netball Association’s car park is looking a lot brighter these days. And it’s all thanks to Stanwell Corporation.
The company recently sponsored the installation of car park lighting at the Association’s club house in Brooklands Road, Nanango.
“Because our games are now mostly played at night, we identified at the start of the year that our car park was unsafe,” NDNA President Deanne Dow said.
She said the Association had approached Stanwell as part of their activities to address the problem.
“With Stanwell’s financial help we were able to install some lighting over the carpark,” Deanne said.
“This provides us with adequate lighting when there’s movement in the carpark, and also security when we’re locking up at night.”
The Association recently showed the new lights to Tarong Power Station site manager Dennis Franklin when he paid a visit to the netball courts.
“I would really like to thank Stanwell for their input into this,” Deanne said.
“Without them it wouldn’t have been possible.
“We really appreciate their time and effort.”
