A man has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries after he was struck by a truck on the D’Aguilar Highway this morning.
The incident occurred about 4:50am as the man was getting out of his stationary utility at Caboolture.
The truck also ran into the ute.
The injured man was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or saw the vehicles travelling on the D’Aguilar Highway before the incident to contact police.
Investigations are continuing.

No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash which occurred on the D’Aguilar Highway at South Nanango about 12:55pm today.
One of the vehicles rolled onto its side.
