The weather has been great for bowls and most clubs are getting along with their club championships calendar.
Kingaroy was no exception, devoting last weekend to tidying up one of their bigger events.
The first to come off the calendar was their Mixed Pairs championship, and the skill level in both the early and later rounds was of the highest standard.
In one of the semi finals, an extra end had to be played to break a deadlock, and on that end it was the last bowl delivered that determined the result.
The final was contested between Bronwyn Grant who paired with Danny Holligan against Wendy and Trevor Turner.
The match started off evenly with both teams sharing the first two ends.
After 6 ends, Grant and Holligan had gained a lead of 9 shots to 5.
The Turners kept themselves in the game with good draw bowls, however a 5 shot win to Grant/Holligan on end 16 put them out to 22 to 9 lead;
They maintained the momentum and were victorious 26 to 13.
