May 7, 2015

The South Burnett Musical Comedy Society will be celebrating their 25th birthday this Saturday, May 9.

And everyone from past audience members to past and present SBMCS cast and crew are invited to their birthday party.

The veteran hams, who’ve entertained audiences throughout the region over the last quarter century, will be staging “Silver Serenade” in the Kingaroy RSL Club’s Tobruk Room from 6:30pm until late.

Guests can get to enjoy platters of finger foods while cast members perform 24 songs from the 26 different musicals the troupe have presented over the years, each guaranteed to bring back many happy memories for long-time fans.

They will include hits from shows like “Oliver!” and “The Sound Of Music”.

Afterwards Jeff Hancox – the South Burnett’s very own Elvis – will be providing music and songs for dancing.

Tickets to Silver Serenade are $15 and can be obtained in advance from the RSL’s front desk, or at the door on Saturday night.
