Queensland Bowls staged their 2015 District Sides Championships for both Men and Women on the Sunshine Coast from Sunday to Wednesday this week, and the final day saw a great finish to four days of bowls.

Five venues were used to accommodate the 42 teams competing: Tewantin Noosa, Coolum Beach, Pacific Paradise, Club Maroochy and Caloundra.

Three rounds were played over four days from Sunday morning until Wednesday afternoon.

Wednesday saw round robin matches to decide the placings in five divisions.

Gold Coast Tweed took the flag in Division One for both Mens and Womens.

Burnett struggled in the Men’s competition and were unplaced in Division 5.

Burnett Women’s team also struggled in the early stages of the four day competition, but lifted their game on the Finals day. winning all three rounds and finishing with 196 for to 106 against.

Next best was Condamine with 174/148.
