Nominations are now open for the 2015 HESTA Australian Nursing Awards and staff throughout the Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service (DDHHS) have been invited to send in their nominations.
The awards cover three categories: Outstanding Graduate; Team Innovation; and Nurse of the Year.
DDHHS Executive Director for Nursing and Midwifery Services Robyn Henderson said the awards were an excellent way to recognise the contributions of professionals who have dedicated their careers to caring for others.
“Nominations can be lodged by co-workers, supervisors, or members of the public, so if you know of someone who you feel is worthy of such a prestigious award, I would encourage you to lodge a nomination,” Ms Henderson said.
“There is a $30,000 prize pool to be distributed across the three categories, and for the first time the awards will be held in Queensland, with finalists invited to attend the Awards dinner in Brisbane on October 15.”
Nominations must be submitted before July 31.
