Police investigating a serious three-vehicle traffic crash south of Fernvale on Wednesday are appealing for any witnesses of the incident to come forward.
Initial investigations indicate that about 1:00pm, a station wagon was travelling south on the Brisbane Valley Highway when it crashed head-on with a 4WD travelling north. A sedan also travelling north then collided with the 4WD.
Ten people were injured as a result of the incident and the highway was closed for several hours.
Forensic Crash Unit investigators are urging anyone who witnessed the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.
They also want to speak to the male driver of a white utility who stopped to render assistance at the scene.
Investigations are continuing.
