A 44-year-old Kingaroy man riding an older model Harley-Davidson motorbike was handcuffed and arrested on Thursday afternoon after he allegedly became aggressive towards police after being pulled over on the D’Aguilar Highway near Kingaroy.

Senior Sergeant Duane, from Kingaroy Police, said the man was initially pulled over for speeding.

However, after police told him that he had recorded a positive reading in a roadside breathtest, the man allegedly confronted police.

Police took the rider to Kingaroy Hospital for a blood test to check for alcohol and / or other substances.

He has been charged with speeding and obstructing police.  Further charges will depend on the result of the blood tests.

Police have viewed CCTV footage from Woolworths at Kingaroy Shoppingworld in a bid to identify three young people who took a trolley of groceries out of the store without paying.

Investigations are continuing to locate the two young men and a young woman.

Police arrested a 16-year-old youth after a foot chase in Moonya Street at 8:30pm on Thursday night.

A police patrol recognised the youth who had curfew conditions on his bail and should not have been on the street at that time.

When the teenager realised he had been spotted, he allegedly took flight.

Police located him in a house yard in Moonya Street.

He has been charged with breaching bail, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing a drug utensil and trespass.

Police will allege they located a small amount of cannabis in his backpack.

Investigations are continuing into an incident which involved two vehicles on the D’Aguilar Highway near Coolabunia at noon on Sunday.

Police have spoken to a number of witnesses.

A 65-year-old man was taken to Kingaroy Hospital after an accident on a quad bike on a property near Proston this morning.

The man suffered cuts to his head.
