Holiday fun turned to pain for two young visitors to the region over the Easter Long Weekend.

At Boondooma Dam, RACQ CareFlight Rescue airlifted a young holidaymaker this morning following a quad bike accident.

The Brisbane teenager was riding the bike when he apparently lost control and jumped off.

He landed awkwardly, suffering a suspected broken right arm.

The Toowoomba RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter took off from Boondooma Dam at 11:00am.

The 13-year-old boy was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

He was accompanied in the helicopter by his mother.

The boy, from the Gold Coast, suffered a suspected head injury after he crashed his off-road motorbike and hit his head.

The Sunshine Coast RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted the boy to Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane.
