Popular South Burnett Anglican priest, Rev Avriel Green, is heading to Caboolture.
Parishioners in Nanango and Yarraman learned about the transfer at the weekend.
The Anglican Archbishop of the Brisbane Diocese, the Most Rev Phillip Aspinall, has invited Rev Green to become Rector of St Laurence’s Anglican Church at Caboolture.
She has accepted the promotion and expects to take up her new appointment in July.
She has been Priest-in-Charge of the parish of Nanango for four and a half years.
During her time at Nanango, the popular Churchyard Shop was established.
