Nanango’s historic Ringsfield House needs some volunteers willing to help “meet and greet” visitors on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Supervisor Wendy Stevens said the volunteers would escort visitors on a tour of the house, explain the outbuildings and then lock up at 4:00pm.
“We’d explain it all to them and teach them everything,” Wendy said.
The volunteers would have to be available from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on either Saturday or Sunday (or both) and preferably be able to make at least a six-month commitment to helping.
They won’t have any involvement in the cafe which also operates daily inside the building.
Wendy said there were about a dozen volunteers on Ringsfield’s roster at the moment but they were having trouble finding people to assist on the weekend afternoons.
“We know there must be someone out there who would love to help us,” she said.
