The Kumbia Race Club will be holding a special meeting on Saturday, March 14: a Celebration Series Race Day.
Gates at the Kumbia racetrack will open around 9:00am this morning and the first of the day’s six races will leave the barriers at 12:40pm.
As usual, the meeting will include a Fashions of the Field competition with prizes for the best-dressed man and woman and the most spectacular hat.
There’ll also be a bar, BBQ, and the Luncheon Hall in operation, along with the lively Wine & Cheese Bar plus full Sky-TV race meeting coverage and a vigorous betting ring.
A special feature will be foot races for men, women and children for cash prizes.
And children can get their faces painted for free between 1:00pm and 3:00pm.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for concessions, and a bus will be travelling from Kingaroy at 11:00am for $20 return, including entry (bookings at the Carrollee Hotel on (07) 4162-1055).
