The Evolution Solar 7s Carnival which was to be held in Kingaroy this weekend has been cancelled due to the uncertainty surrounding Tropical Cyclone Marcia.
A spokesperson said this morning the decision had been made following yesterday’s recommendation by the South Burnett Regional Council that people cancel all non-essential travel.
More than 600 visiting players, managers, referees and fans had been expected, travelling from all over south-east Queensland.
Travelling teams are being notified.
