An information session about multiple sclerosis has been scheduled for South Burnett health professionals next week.
Organised by MS Queensland, the free session will be held from 1:00pm to 3:30pm on Wednesday (March 4) in the Taabinga Room at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry centre opposite Kingaroy Airport.
Facilitators will be:
- Tim O’Maley – a manager in specialist education who will provide an overview of MS, a research and treatment update, and help to provide an understanding of the complex symptoms of MS
- Clinical psychologist Aart Simon – the psychosocial impact of MS
- Senior physiotherapist Joy Constantine – MS and exercise / physiotherapy
- MS Queensland Regional Service Co-ordinator Tasman Saywell – who will explain the services and supports available from the organisation.
