Tropical Cyclone Marcia has caused a number of cancellations this weekend in the South Burnett.
Cancelled are the Cooyar Show, Kingaroy’s big weekend Soccer 7s Carnival and the Bunya Peoples’ Community Gathering which was to be held at the Bunya Mountains on Saturday and Sunday.
The Windera Music Muster has been postponed.
These four events had been expected to attract hundreds of people to the South Burnett.
Sunday’s Hivesville Markets have also been cancelled.
The Yarraman Progress Association’s Black & White Dance at the Yarraman Community Hall on Saturday evening has been postponed.
The Wondai District Cricket Club’s Pink Stumps Bowls Night, scheduled for tonight (Friday), has been postponed.
At noon today, the three-day Burrandowan Camp Draft was still scheduled to go ahead but the organising committee was meeting this afternoon to consider its options.

UPDATE: The Wide Bay cricket finals that were scheduled to be played at Murgon on Sunday (February 22) have been cancelled due to the wet conditions.
