Local Toyota dealer Ken Mills has signed up for the sixth year in a row to sponsor the South Burnett Rugby League Referees Association.

“Having the support of such an iconic South Burnett business is a privilege and the funding has allowed us to train members to standard where they are attending State carnivals, officiating across other leagues and attending professional development opportunities on the coast,” Association president Vic Collins said.

The South Burnett Rugby League Referees are always looking for new members.

Vic said they were particularly interested in transitioning recently retired players into match officials.

A recent example of this has been ex-Kingaroy player, Darren “Deafy” Bowden, who will be officiating in A Grade last year.
