St John’s Lutheran Church is hosting a World Day Of Prayer service in Kingaroy on Friday, March 6.

Every year, different churches in Kingaroy take turns at hosting the interdenominational service which coincides with celebrations all over the world.

This year the theme is “Do You Know What I Have Done To You?”, chosen by women from the Bahamas.

Guest speaker will be Fr Nigel Sequeira, from St Mary’s Catholic parish in Kingaroy.

The service, at St John’s Church in Youngman Street, Kingaroy, will start at 10:00am and there will be morning tea afterwards.

Representatives from six local churches and schoolchildren from Kingaroy State High School, St Mary’s Catholic College and St John’s Lutheran School will be taking part.

In Nanango, Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church will be hosting the World Day Of Prayer celebration from 10:00am.

The guest speaker will be Sr Genevieve Caffery, RSM.

Light refreshments will be available afterwards.
