It’s time for farmers to round up their unwanted or out-of-date agricultural or veterinary chemicals … ChemClear is coming back to the region.
ChemClear is a national industry program partly funded by the State Government and supported by the South Burnett Regional Council.
All chemicals that display the drumMUSTER logo are eligible for free collection and disposal under the scheme.
Unlabelled, deregistered, out-of-date or mixed products by companies that are not part of the drumMUSTER program can also be booked in and collected but there is a fee.
However, Cr Kathy Duff said funding would help subsidise a proportion of the costs involved in the disposal.
“I am really pleased that Council will once again provide ChemClear with a suitable location to set up their collection unit when they are in the region and I really encourage primary producers to take advantage of this opportunity,” Cr Duff said.
Primary producers have until Friday, March 27, to take advantage of the program before the booking line closes.
