Boots’n Bulldust and Pathway 2 Hope – the two organisations behind a push to establish a “village” in the South Burnett to support people with mental illness – are seeking donations for an auction to be held in May.
Pathway 2 Hope founder Kaye Hibbs said all money raised from the auction would go towards the acquisition of a permanent home where the groups would be able to hold activities and workshops and provide information and services.
“The facility will be a place where people can come to renew their hope and continue on their healing journey in a safe and supportive environment and where they can access the support of professional services,” she said.
The auction will be held on May 5.
Donations of new and quality goods can be dropped off at Boots’n Bulldust (the Country Focus office) at 41F Drayton Street, Nanango, or at Pathway 2 Hope, 30 King Street, Kingaroy.
