January 17, 2015

Kingaroy started 2015 with a bang and well-deserve the headlines this week.

The fireworks had hardly stopped smoking when the first event for the year got underway on Sunday, January 4.

Twenty-four members played triples.

The quality of the competition was of a high standard, allaying any fears that members may have over-imbibed during the festive season.

With storms over the previous week it was great to start the New Year with good conditions for the day’s play.

Last weekend attracted another good crowd of bowlers. The first competition of the 2015 season was played last Sunday. Thirty players took part in three bowl triples.

Weather conditions, while warm, were ideal for playing bowls and the competition was played in high spirits with plenty of banter and sledging taking place (maybe learned from the Australian cricket team?)
