The Burnett Mary Regional Group will be holding free “Best Management Practices” workshops for cattle producers at Durong, Kingaroy, Widgee and Biggenden over the next three months.
Five modules will be delivered during the three Grazing BMP workshops.
Topics to be covered at the first include business planning, human resources and WH&S, and chemical use and records.
Guest speakers include Steve Banney, who will speak about profit drivers and the cost of production, and Georgina Tunstall from WorkCover Qld.
The workshops will be held at:
- Kingaroy – February 18, March 18 and April 22
- Durong – February 19, March 19 and April 23
- Widgee – February 11, March 11 and April 15
- Biggenden – February 12, March 12 and April 16
