The Burnett Mary Regional Group (BMRG) will be holding a public meeting in Kingaroy next month to help plan their future on-ground works funding under the new National Landcare Program.
BMRG are inviting Landcare and community groups, and any other interested persons, to attend the meeting – which is one of five community meetings to be held across the region.
The meeting aims to build awareness and understanding about the Federal Government’s National Landcare Program.
Under the program, 20 per cent of BMRG’s Regional funding allocation must be directed towards on-ground projects and related activities.
The Kingaroy meeting will be held on Monday, January 19, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the Taabinga Room, at the J Bjelke-Petersen centre, opposite Kingaroy Airport.
Other meetings will be held at Mundubbera, Bundaberg, Maryborough and Gympie.
