St Mary’s Catholic College in Kingaroy will receive $919,873 in Federal Government funding to improve learning areas at the school.

Federal Member for Maranoa Bruce Scott said the funding was approved under the Capital Grants Program for Non-Government Schools.

It will assist the school to build six new general learning areas and new music and practice rooms.

“This funding will ensure students will have the infrastructure necessary to help them get the most from their time at the St Mary’s Catholic College,” Mr Scott said.

Mr Scott said the total cost of the project at the Catholic College was $2,543,526.

Earlier this week, Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington announced that $855,688 for the project would come from the  State Government’s Queensland Catholic Capital Assistance Authority.
