Two very familiar faces at St Mary’s Catholic College have won prestigious awards.
Teacher Pam Radcliffe and principal Michael Nayler were nominated in the inaugural Catholic Leader “Community Leader” awards.
Pam won the top “Community Leader of the Year” award for her selfless work over the past 18 years at St Mary’s Catholic Parish and with the St Mary’s school community.
Michael was named School Leader of the Year for being “a truly inspirational Catholic leader”.
He has been involved in Catholic education for more than 25 years and principal at St Mary’s for the past three years.
The awards were presented on Wednesday night at a ceremony in the Francis Rush Centre at St Stephen’s Cathedral in Brisbane.
Pam attended but Michael was an apology as the awards clashed with the school’s Year 12 valedictory dinner.
Other winners on the night were:
- Professional Leader of the Year – Paul Ninnes, Brisbane, for his work with Real Talk Australia
- Volunteer of the Year – Anabelle Hamer, Brisbane, for her work with the St Vincent de Paul Society
- Young Leader of the Year – Nat Chipa, from Redcliffe parish
