With the storm – and fire season – just around the corner, local emergency services are urging South Burnett residents to be “disaster ready”.

SES, ambulance officers and firefighters mounted a display in Kingaroy Shoppingworld last Thursday to help remind locals of what they should do if a natural disaster strikes.

Brochures and mini “Disaster Ready” kits were handed out to passers-by.

The display was supported by the South Burnett Regional Council.
