The Wondai Race Club will be holding its traditional Caulfield Cup race meeting at the Wondai Racecourse in Cadell Street this Saturday, October 18.
It will be a five race meeting and the first race will leave the barriers at 1:15pm.
As usual, the meeting will feature an on-course TAB, live telecasts of interstate races, an undercover betting ring, barbecue and bar, as well as the Lady Luck Cocktail Bar.
This meeting’s theme is “Colours Of Spring” and guests who dress to it can compete in the Fashions Of The Field competition for great prizes.
Buses will be leaving the Fitzroy Hotel in Nanango at noon, the Kingaroy Hotel-Motel at 12:30pm, Proston’s Golden Spurs Hotel at 11:30am, the Hivesville Hotel at 11:45am and the Murgon Newsagency at 12:30pm (phone 0427-193-552 to guarantee a seat).
Gates will open at the track about noon and the feature race of the day – the $12,000 first prize Wondai Cup – will leave the barriers at 4:10pm.
