The Wide Bay Regional Organisation of Councils (WBBROC) has released a series of videos aimed at selling “The Perfect Place At Your Perfect Pace” to the world.

The umbrella organisation of local councils – which includes Cherbourg and the South Burnett – commissioned 10 “digital stories” from across the region.

“WBBROC has been working hard to improve the economic outlook and long-term sustainability of the Wide Bay Burnett region,” South Burnett Mayor Wayne Kratzmann said.

“The region’s mayors want to encourage skilled population to move to the region which we believe coupled with a growth in our business and industry sector will contribute towards achieving a positive change in the economic outlook of our region.”

Mayor Ken Bone, from Cherbourg Aboriginal Council, said that since late 2012 WBBROC had been engaging with key industry and community leaders to discuss how, as a region, we can encourage families and businesses/industry to consider moving to the region.

Cr Arnold Murray said he would encourage everyone to promote the digital stories to individuals, families and businesses.

WBBROC has also developed a website and Facebook page to promote and showcase the diverse assets of the region.
