Anyone interested in the new Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport near Toowoomba will get a chance to take a closer look next Sunday (September 28) at a special Community Open Day.
The area will be open from 9:30am to 4:00pm with runway and terminal tours, aerial and aircraft displays, model plane demonstrations and performances by live bands.

Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport General Manager Phil Gregory said the open day would be the only chance for the general public to go “behind the scenes” before the airport becomes operational later this year.
It is is a free event but voluntary gold coin donations collected at the gate will be donated to the RACQ CareFlight helicopter rescue service.
Free parking will be available on site.
