Former Member for Fisher Peter Slipper has been ordered to complete 300 hours community service after being found guilty of misusing his Cabcharge allowance to visit Canberra wineries in 2010.
ACT Chief Magistrate Lorraine Walker sentenced Slipper today after he was found guilty of three dishonesty charges in July.
She also placed him on a two-year good behaviour bond and ordered he repay $954.
Convictions were recorded.
Slipper, who was elected to Federal Parliament in 1984, formerly represented parts of the South Burnett when his electorate stretched to cover this area before several boundary changes.
