The Lions Club of Kingaroy handed over cheques to two local not-for-profit organisations at its recent meeting.
Lions Club president Yvonne Dowling handed a cheque to Blue Care Kingaroy/Nanango manager Tony McKenzie.
Blue Care assists older people, people with a disability, and others in need in the Kingaroy and Nanango communities.
It operates the Canowindra Aged Care Facility in Kingaroy, Blue Care Kingaroy-Nanango Community Care, and Blue Care Kingaroy Respite Care
The second cheque was presented to Ruth Wright, who runs the school chaplaincy program at Kingaroy State High School.
