South Burnett Regional Council has advised that roadworks on Kumbia-Brooklands Road – between Parker Road and Ellesmere Road – will begin on Monday (August 25).
The works, which will include clearing and grubbing, drainage, pavement construction and sealing, are expected to take about 18 weeks.
During the construction period, traffic delays will be experienced and for most of the project, traffic will be under the direction of traffic controllers.
Council says it will try to reduce traffic delays but motorists should consider alternative routes where possible.
During roadworks vehicle access to properties fronting Kumbia-Brooklands Road could be affected, but residents will be notified of any planned works.
A Council spokesman said that if any residents have concerns in regard to property access, they should speak to the on-site supervisor.
