A 21-year-old Nanango woman was lucky to escape injury when her car collided with a horse on the Nanango-Brooklands Road at 7:00pm on Friday.
A vet was called to the scene but unfortunately the horse had to be euthanased due to its injuries.
Police said the driver was passing an oncoming car when suddenly the horse appeared on the road, leaving her no way to avoid the animal.

A driver who lost control of his Commodore sedan in Cowie Drive, near Gumtree Drive, last Wednesday afternoon ploughed into a Toyota parked on the footpath.
A blood sample has been taken from the 35-year-old Kingaroy man as police believe alcohol and other substances may have been the cause of the crash which happened at 1:30pm.
Police are awaiting the results of the tests.

A 35-year-old Kingaroy man had had his car impounded for seven days after he was pulled over by police at 8:30pm last Thursday.
Police will allege his licence was suspended.
He has been issued with a notice to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court and his licence plates were confiscated.

A 21-year-old man has been charged with unlawful entry, stealing and public nuisance following an investigation into an incident in the McDonald’s drive-thru last week.
Police will allege he stole electrical items from an unlocked car in the Youngman Street carpark before getting involved in a fight with another man in the drive-thru.

A 19-year-old man who took exception to a man urinating on his car has been charged with public nuisance.
Senior-Sergeant Duane Frank, from Kingaroy police, said the man was leaving a Kingaroy hotel at 1:00am on Sunday when he saw the other male near his car.
“He confronted him and a fight started. He punched the other man in the face,” Snr Sgt Frank said.
Police who were called to scene found the man lying on the ground. Fortunately, he was not seriously injured.
However, as police attempted to take the first man into custody, a friend allegedly attempted to intervene.
The 20-year-old has been charged with disobeying a move-on order and obstructing police.

A 40-year-old Toowoomba woman managed to free herself from her wrecked Nissan sedan after it left the road and rolled onto its side on the Kingaroy-Cooyar Road just outside Kingaroy at 12:30pm Sunday.
Snr Sgt Frank said the woman was heading into Kingaroy when her vehicle left the road and her back wheels slid in the gravel. The driver was unable to correct the vehicle and it ended up on its side amongst some trees.
She was taken to Kingaroy Hospital for assessment and suffering from shock.

A 13-year-old Kingaroy youth will appear in Children’s Court later this month charged with trespass and stealing after a baseball bat was allegedly taken from a local school.
