After dominating local junior handlers competitions, Corey Evans, from Kingaroy, has proven he’s the best in the State, taking out the prestigious QCAS Stud Beef Cattle Paraders title run in conjunction with the Brisbane Exhibition.
Corey was representing the South Burnett Sub-Chamber in the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies (QCAS) competition.
Runner-up was Emily Lovett, from Noosa, representing the Near North Coast Sub-Chamber.
The competition is for young people aged between 16 and 24 years of age interested in parading Stud Beef and Dairy Cattle.
Corey is now eligible to compete at the National Finals.
The other South Burnett representatives in the various QCAS competitions will learn their fate over the next few days.
The Dark Rich Fruit Cake competition is being judged this afternoon. The South Burnett entrant is Faye Kruger, from Proston.
The South Burnett also has entries in the Miss Showgirl, Rural Ambassador, Young Judges and Ute Muster competitions.
