Many of the region’s best photographers came together at St Patrick’s school hall in Nanango on Sunday to compete in the 2nd Annual South Burnett Digital Projected Images Competition.
144 different photographs were submitted in this year’s competition by photographers from the Kingaroy, Murgon and Nanango Camera Clubs and the Timber Towns Digital Art Association.
The entries were judged by Peter O’Brien from the Peninsula camera club, an accredited judge from the Photographic Society Of Queensland who assessed them all – and then gave comments about each one – before before announcing the winners in this year’s six subject categories: Clever & Quirky, People, Photojournalism, Nature, Friendship and Splash Of Colour.
The four participating camera clubs also competed, with the winner decided on points gathered by club members during the event.
NDCC Secretary Keren Mcsweeney thanked St. Patrick’s school for allowing the club the use of the school’s hall to stage the event.
She also thanked NDCC members Matt and Sonia Vine for helping to set up for the day.
