The popular Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) is being run again at Cherbourg, but this time it is being extended to parents of teenagers.

In the past, the program has catered for parents or carers of children aged 12 or younger.

Barambah PaCE are bringing presenters Bronwyn Murray and Michell Forster back to hold a fun, interactive workshop for carers of children aged up to 16.

This will boost parent and carer skills to:

  • Cope with teenagers’ emotions
  • Reduce family conflict
  • Get teenagers to co-operate
  • Build their teenagers’ survival skills

The workshop will be held at the Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council training rooms from 9:00am on July 28-30 (Monday to Wednesday).

Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Graduates who complete the course will get a certificate and $50 IGA voucher.

People who are unemployed may be able to do the training as part of their job service agency requirements.
