There’s more big changes happening on the Bunya Mountains.

Two of the Mountain’s best-known businesses – Rice’s Cabins and the Bunya Forest Gallery – are on the market.

Peter and Cathy Young, from Rice’s Cabins, arrived in 1992 and brought their own style to the accomodation business surrounded by forest and adjoining “Puzzles” restaurant.

Kay and Terry Joyce established the “Bunya Forest Gallery and Teahouse” at Easter in 2001. The gallery regularly features exhibitions revealing some aspect of the environment in which they are displayed, while the teahouse menus showcase the unique flavours and aromas of various bushfoods.

The Bunya Forest Gallery was admitted into the Hall of Fame at the Regional Tourism Awards in 2006.

The two properties will be auctioned by LJ Hooker Kingaroy on June 21.
