Kingaroy Police have impounded a late model Commodore ute after its driver was allegedly found hooning in the new Kingaroy industrial estate.
Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, from Kingaroy Police, said police observed a vehicle doing burnouts about 9:00pm on Thursday night in the industrial area which is under development opposite Ivins Street.
Snr Sgt Frank said the vehicle then left the estate and drove out of town along the highway. Police will allege they clocked it doing 122km/h in a 60km/h zone.
The driver later returned to the industrial area where police intercepted the vehicle.
A 28-year-old Kingaroy man had been issued with a notice to appear in court on charges of speeding and driving without due care and attention.
His 2012 Commodore SS ute was impounded for 90 days.
