Three digital workshops to help South Burnett businesses use technology to lift profits and cut costs will begin in July

Three digital workshops which will teach South Burnett businesses how to use modern technologies to increase profits and lower costs will be held in Kingaroy and Nanango between July and September this year.

The workshops are being run by the Bundaberg Digital Enterprise Program, a project of Business Bundaberg, and are jointly sponsored by the Wide Bay Regional Organisation of Councils (WBBROC), the South Burnett Regional Council and the Australian Federal Government.

They aim to assist businesses and not-for-profit groups use essential digital tools to keep their organisation at the forefront of technology advancements.

Topics that will be covered in the three workshops include:

  • Enhancing marketing using the web and social media channels
  • Increasing efficiency and reducing costs through cloud-based applications
  • Improving communication with staff, customers and suppliers through mobile workforce technology

The workshops will also look at using technology to improving competitiveness and how to keep data safe and secure.

In addition, participants who take part in at least one of the three workshops will be eligible for a free, 4 hour one-on-one consultation from technology professionals.

The workshops will be held at the following places:

  • Building an effective online presence: Kingaroy Town Common Hall, Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, July 9.
  • Cloud-based applications: Nanango Cultural Centre, George Street, Nanango from 9:00am to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, August 19.
  • Mobility and online communications: Nanango Cultural Centre, George Street, Nanango from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, September 22.

Bookings are essential and seating is limited at each workshop.
