The Kingaroy Kindergarten is more than $1350 better off after taking part in SupaIGA Kingaroy’s monthly fundraising program.
Volunteers from the kindy manned a sausage sizzle in the carpark outside the store on Sundays during May, raising more than $1000.
On top of this, SupaIGA also presented the group with a cheque today for $350, the proceeds from sales made of IGA Community Chest items in the store.
SupaIGA service supervisor Janelle O’Neill said the store selected a different not-for-profit group or charity every month to support.
The program has been running since the store opened in 2008.
