St John Duty Officer Fiona Minett, Divisional Officer Krystle Walters and Sgt Richard Green with some of the raffle prizes

June 4, 2014

The St John Ambulance Cadets in Kingaroy have a new name.

The former Kingaroy Combined Division will now be known as the South Burnett Division, reflecting the fact the members come from all over the region.

The cadets recently held a large raffle of 4WD gear, donated by The Tackle Box in Murgon, to help raise funds for medical supplies for the group.

South Burnett Deputy Mayor Keith Campbell drew the winners’ names on Monday night.

They were:

1. D. Walters, Brooklands – 4WD gear
2. T. Mackay, Wondai – St John 4WD First Aid kit
3. J. Pratt, Wondai – St John Home First Aid kit

NB.  The St John Cadets have been meeting every Monday night at the Kingaroy SES Headquarters in Glendon Street, but Divisional Manager Grant Geddes said this night would be changing soon.
