Local sporting heroes Steve Renouf and Holly Ferling will be at Graham House in Murgon on Sunday, June 1 for a special celebration.

The Community Centre is marking Domestic & Family Violence Prevention Month (and Community Centres Month) with a day of activities from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

For the kids, there’ll be a merry-go-round, jumping castle, face painting and techno games.

There’ll also be a free sausage sizzle, tea and coffee.

Steve Renouf – the former Broncos, Maroons and Kangaroos rugby league star – grew up in Murgon.

Cricketer Holly Ferling, from Kingaroy, played with the Southern Stars Australian women’s cricket team during their Ashes series against England last year.

The day will also mark the official launch of Graham House’s new website, logo and uniforms.

Certificates of appreciation will be presented to Graham House volunteers.

Everyone is welcome, but for catering purposes an RSVP to Rosemary on (07) 4169-8400 or 0447-683-492 by May 28 would be greatly appreciated.
