Life is a cabaret … Tiffany and Felicity Lane-Krebs travelled from Bundaberg for their cabaret Eisteddfod performance

May 12, 2014

Kingaroy Town Hall was filled on Saturday night with proud parents and friends eager to enjoy the best entries from the 2014 Kingaroy Eisteddfod.

The gala concert was the culmination of almost two weeks of competition.

The evening kicked off with the Kingaroy State High School wind ensemble playing the National Anthem.

Then it was into a night of music, speech, poetry, drama, singing and dancing.

Eisteddfod music co-ordinator and concert organiser Lois Blanch said she was very pleased with this year’s eisteddfod.

“The adjudicators have been very, very good,” she said.

Lois said the band competition had been especially good with entries coming from Nanango to Murgon.

Music co-ordinator and concert organiser Lois Blanch, from Kingaroy, and volunteer Fiona Bartlett, from Byee

KSHS Year 10 students Chelsea Kerr, was playing sax, while Thomas Newman was on percussion
Karen Ford, from Kingaroy, with daughter Lydia (Year 9) and Amie Hosking (Year 10) … the two students are both part of the Kingaroy High School wind ensemble

  1. Dance Senior Ballet Championship actually went to Maddison Gull, not Jemma Polak and Intermediate Ballet Championship went to Dayna Booth, not Georgia Bradford (I am one of the dance co-ordinators).

  2. Thank you, Kahlia. We are glad to publish any corrections but we do note that the information we originally published was supplied to us by the Eisteddfod.
