Barambah assembled one of the strongest-looking men’s teams they have had for a few years to take on the Premiers.

Five minutes later, Thomas Mangan put Nanango ahead scoring from an attack on the right hand side.

But in the 40th minute Barambah were awarded a penalty, and Sheldon Livingstone made no mistake to make the score 2-2 at halftime.

Katrina Parsons
Although Katrina Parsons (above, left) didn’t score goal for Wests on the weekend, she turned in a formidable performance which helped her team score a 2-nil victory over the Gunnettes

Gunners played Wests at Kingaroy on Saturday afternoon and one of the major surprises of the day was an injury for West’s goal keeper Toni Schick which knocked her out of the match just minutes before play was due to start.

Schick had been doing some pre-game practice with her team-mates at the nets and caught a ball the wrong way, badly injuring her wrist.

Although she wanted to continue playing, she was ordered off the field to seek medical attention.

We wish her a speedy recovery.
