A test drive of a brand new Toyota Hilux 4WD ended badly for a 77-year-old Gympie man yesterday in Kingaroy.
The man had picked up the vehicle from Ken Mills Toyota before becoming involved in a collision with another 4WD on the corner of Aerodrome Road and the Bunya Highway.
Police believe one of the drivers signalled to turn right but then went left.
Neither driver was injured.

Kingaroy business people have stood up to would-be thieves in two separate incidents.
In the first, last Thursday, two men allegedly ran off with $69 worth of pizzas from the Domino’s Pizza store in Avoca Street. Staff chased them and caught one. Police later located the second man. Two men have been issued with notices to appear in court on charges of theft.
In the second incident, an employee of a gym in the Youngman Street Industrial Estate confronted an intruder who broke into the premises about 6:30am yesterday. The would-be thief allegedly tried to take some electrical gear but was forced to give it back. The employee has given a description of the man to police. Investigations are continuing.

Detectives arrested a man at a house in Windsor Circle, Kingaroy, on Good Friday after executing a search warrant. He has been charged with possessing dangerous drugs after a quantity of cannabis was allegedly found in a freezer.

A neighbourhood dispute over a dog turned ugly in Reservoir Street, Kingaroy, on Friday afternoon with police called after reports that two men were fighting. Police calmed the men down and no charges have been laid.

At 4:10pm on Friday, police pulled over a 19-year-old man in Joseph Street, Kingaroy, for an RBT. The officer became suspicious when the man appeared very nervous. A search of his vehicle allegedly located a quantity of cannabis. The man has been issued with a notice to appear in court.

Police were called to Malar Road in Nanango at 5:00pm on Friday after reports that a man was threatening to shoot his neighbour. Investigations are continuing.

Two men were arrested in Nanango on Monday and charged with possessing dangerous drugs. A 32-year-old appeared in Maroochydore Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody; a 28-year-old was granted bail in the same court.

Police are investigating the theft of some helicopter toys from AP Computers in King Street, Kingaroy, after a shop window was smashed in the early hours of Monday morning. Police were called to the shop at 7:15am.

A 17-year-old girl has been charged with stealing chocolate from Woolworths. She allegedly told police she was hungry.
In an unrelated incident, a 23-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman have been charged with stealing a phone from the Telstra shop in Shoppingworld.

A man who allegedly abused police when they turned up at a minor traffic accident at Kingaroy Hospital yesterday afternoon has been issued with a ticket for being a public nuisance.

An 18-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with two counts of wilful damage after shop windows were smashed in King Street at 9:00pm last night. The man allegedly smashed a window at Freemans Real Estate and a window at Burnett Motorcycles. He was taken to Kingaroy Hospital for treatment for cuts to his hand.

A young boy was found sniffing glue near the Post Office building in Kingaroy Street at 1:20am this morning. He was taken to hospital by ambulance.
