The South Burnett’s various football codes are back in action this weekend following the Easter break.

In Rugby League, the focus is still on the Central Burnett with only one game being played locally on Saturday.

In Kingaroy, the Monto Roos will take on the Kingaroy Red Ants from 4:00pm at T.J. O’Neill Oval.

Three games will be played in Gayndah: Mundubbera Tigers v Cherbourg Hornets (2:00pm); Gayndah Gladiators v Nanango Stags (4:00pm) and Theodore Roosters v Wondai Wolves (6:00pm).

No junior league games will be played this weekend because of 47th Battalion duties at the Sunshine Coast.

Round 1 of Junior Soccer starts on Saturday at Wondai with games getting underway from 8:30am.

Fifteen teams will taking part in the U6s, eight in the U7s, seven in the U8s, seven in U9s, twelve in the U10/11s, eight in the U12/13s and five in the cadets.

There will be four weeks of junior games played at Wondai, followed by four weeks at Nanango, and then the rest of the season will be played in Kingaroy

Round 4 of the Senior Soccer will be played at Kingaroy (Gunners v Wests) and Murgon (Barambah v Nanango) on Saturday:

2:00pm – 2nd Division
3:30pm – Women’s
5:00pm – 1st Division

The South Burnett Saints Australian Rules club’s first home game for the season will be held on Sunday (April 27) against Coolaroo at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy.

U8s and U10s will start at 10:15am with U14s at 11:00am. Seniors will start at 12:30pm.
