CROW-FM and South Burnett mayor Wayne Kratzmann have joined the campaign to help raise funds for Murgon mum Shona Muckert to have specialised surgery.

A number of events have been held throughout the South Burnett over the past six months to help her raise the necessary money to have osseo-integration surgery which should enable her to walk again.

Shona lost both her legs in a car accident about nine years ago.

The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry today issued an appeal to local businesses to support a radio auction which will be held on CROW-FM at a date to be fixed.

Donations of items to be auctioned can be left at the CROW-FM building in Wondai or at the South Burnett Regional Council office in Kingaroy.

The next major fundraiser scheduled for Shona is the PCYC Charity Ball which will be held on March 29 from 6:00om at the Murgon PCYC.

After earlier fears that the Ball may have to be cancelled because of poor ticket sales, Shona announced on Facebook last night that it is now definitely going ahead.

Tickets are available for $90, which includes a  three-course meal, from the PCYC.
