In a preview of what we’ll be seeing on the red carpets around the South Burnett later this year, nine models took to the catwalk in Kingaroy on Friday night to show what Year 12s could be wearing to their formals.

Kingaroy businesswoman Helen Chaseling has been putting on the fashion show for the past three years at her Rendezvous Designs shop in Kingaroy Street.

The models consisted of shop staff, family members and local Year 12 students.

The nine girls were kept busy making quick changes – they modelled 81 different dresses for the 70 or so people in attendance.

“We just pushed back the racks, put on the music and let them go,” Helen said.

The evening was sponsored by Jadore gowns and one lucky visitor, Samantha Hudson, won a half-price gown for attending.

Hills in Hollywood also helped out by loaning 18 gowns.

There were also other prizes on offer from local businesses.

Photographer Denise Keelan gave away a photographic package.

Make-up was done by Beauty Finesse who gave away a “Runway Ready” make-up package.

Hair styling was by Chris Cross Hair Studio who gave away a free upstyling.

Katrina’s Beauty Works donated a $50 voucher for nails and Sans âge Spa donated free a make-up and spray-tan.
