Southern Queensland Country Tourism has launched its new travel guide for the region.
CEO Mary-Clare Power said the 2014/2015 Southern Queensland Country Travellers’ Guide would help travellers research and plan their trip, with comprehensive coverage of Toowoomba and the Darling Downs, Southern Downs and Granite Belt, South Burnett and the Western Country.
“Readers will be motivated by stories of our regional flavours, arts and crafts, cultural heritage and natural attractions – not to mention our insider tips from locals and visitors, our wonderful events and some beautiful imagery,” she said.
“The guide also contains practical information such as maps, event calendars, suggested itineraries, accommodation details, market listings, golfing information and – for the first time – a seasonal produce guide.
“We hope that the guide also inspires locals within Southern Queensland Country to get out and see more of this diverse region.”
Copies of the guide – 55,000 have been printed – are available via Visitor Information Centres across Queensland and northern New South Wales, and at RACQ branches.
It can also be viewed online.
A Travellers’ Guide app for Android and iPad tablets is being developed.
