The State Government has released a discussion paper to gather public input on developing new rules about land access for resource companies.
At present, different rules apply depending on the resources being targeted for exploration.
The discussion paper proposes streamlining current legislation to remove the differences and create a single approach.
This will provide both landholders and the resources sector with clarity on land access provisions, they say.
This approach will also harmonise the five resource Acts and implement a single framework for gaining access to private land near residences and other critical infrastructure for resource activities.
The Discussion Paper, as well as instructions on making a submission. are available online.
Submissions close at 5:00pm on Friday, March 28.
