Maidenwell Community Group president Gavin Jones said last night’s public meeting at the Maidenwell Hall was “very successful” with plans made to apply for funding to develop a three to five-year concept for the town.
About 40 people attended the meeting.
Also discussed were efforts to secure water for the recently levelled Maidenwell Oval through sinking a bore and arrangements to top-dress the ground.
A community “stone pick” will be held at the oval from 7:00am on Sunday with all volunteers welcome to attend.
An application will be put to Stanwell Corporation’s Community Partnership Fund to develop the town concept plan.
